Title: Digital Verification Engineer

Duration: 3 years

Clearance: Active secret preferred but will process for a secret clearance if need be. Will need to obtain interim clearance before starting assignment

Location: Lexington MA

This position can be predominantly remote; however, the candidate will need to be within 100 miles of the lab. The person will need to be onsite at the Lab once every 1-2 months for 1-3 days each time. This person should plan to onboard in person for the first week (4 days) of the assignment.

 

Group Description:

The Tactical Networks Group specializes in advanced network and communications systems development, with a focus on rapid prototyping of radical next generation tactical mobile, military airborne communications systems. The group is developing a next generation ASIC and is looking for an ASIC verification engineer with strong digital signal processing (DSP) skills.

The team is looking for a Wireless ASIC Verification Engineer with Strong Digital Signal Processing Understanding.

 

Required Skills:

1. Experience in going through several complete and successful ASIC design/verification cycles from architecting and creation of ASIC test environment to demonstration on hardware

2. In-depth understanding of digital signal processing algorithms relevant to communications

3. Solid verification skills, which includes planning, debugging, random testing, black box testing and adversarial testing for ASICs

4. Solid verification experience working with VHDL Designs using VHDL or System Verilog

5. Strong C/C++ and scripting (TCL and Python preferred) experience

6. Experience in Testplan definition, Testbench design and development, coverage specification and analysis and automation of the regression test suite

7. UVM

 

Preferred Skills:

1. Proficient in OS-VVM or other functional verification methodologies

2. Strong understanding of fundamentals of wireless digital communications systems and all PHY processes from data into baseband I/Q out. Be able to clearly articulate the function of all digital blocks in a typical communications chain (encoders, modulators, correlators, matrix arithmetic, etc.).

3. Experience with MATLAB is a plus
