Our client is an Automation Integrator working to incorporate robotics and automation technology for their clients across industries. They require a skilled Controls Engineer with experience in full design lifecycles for automation systems.
This role will work on multiple development projects in various stages of the design lifecycle, from concept design thru construction, build out, FAT, and Commissioning. "Blank slate" coding as well as modification of existing code will be required. Head's down coding, but also much of the work will involve hands on interaction with Engineering, Design, and Production personnel to work thru mechanical and electrical design challenges on the floor.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
- This person would be a locally managed resource assisting on multiple projects. Workload will change, but consists of the following at a minimum:
- Provide Controls expertise and guidance during equipment design, build, debug, qualification and improvement phases of a project.
- Write original Allen Bradley/Rockwell code and modify existing code as required
- Incorporate Fanuc and ABB Robotics
- Work with vison systems (Cognex) for safety and functionality.
- Work with different disciplines to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical vs mechanical issues.
- Willingness to travel with the team to a customer's site as needed (majority of the work will be at client site. May follow to customer site for commissioning.)
Experience/Education:
- Allen Bradley / Rockwell PLCs
- Fanuc / ABB robotics (Teaching pendants, etc)
- Servo Motion experience
- Factory Talk View ME
- Vision Systems (Cognex desired)
- Ability to develop code from scratch.
- Troubleshoot/modify existing Code.
