Job Description
Electrical Creo Designer
Sterling Heights, MI - Onsite
12-month contract
Softworld is seeking an Electrical Creo Designer to join our team. Candidates must be US citizens and be able to obtain a government clearance.
Education:
- AS Product Design or equivalent preferred.No degree needed.
Responsibilities:
- Apply working knowledge of CAD systems to develop overall vehicle architecture in coordination with the engineering staff and project technical authority
- Assist product development by supporting large CAD model management, vehicle subsystem packaging, development gate review, and body of evidence generation.
- Manage space allocations between subsystems and components
- Coordinate design staff needs
- Provide design/integration guidance to designers
Experience:
- Experience in product design and development, preferably US Defense programs
- Experience with CAD (i.E. ProE CREO) software and 3D Printing, as well as general Material (e.G. Steel, Aluminum, Ceramic) properties.
- Experience with implementing, governing, and maintaining PLM systems
- Knowledge of Systems based design and related Standards/Processes
- Ability to present technical solutions to clients and internal stakeholders
- Familiarity with the US DoD ground vehicle requirements and technical design standards
- Knowledge of the US DoD process and procedures for vehicle development and acquisition
- Familiarity with the US Army TACOM / TARDEC organizations
- Practical 'hands on' attitude with the ability to operate independently.
- Currently hold or have ability to apply for a SECRET US Defense clearance
- Experience of working in a multi-national, multi-organizational and corporate environment.
- Experience with engineering and supply chain management in a highly regulated industry.
