Embedded Software Engineer - DSP
The public safety radio team continues to disrupt the market with convergent devices, waveforms, and solutions for public safety professionals including fire, police, ambulance, and utilities. We are seeking an experienced embedded software engineer. The selected candidate will participate in requirements generation, design, Agile software process, development and test activities. The candidate will develop embedded real-time solutions for radio application software in C and C++.
• Programming languages (C, C++)
• Familiar with Software Life-Cycle Concepts
• Familiar with Real Time Operating Systems Concepts
• ARM GPP / BlackFin7 DSP Processor architectures (or equivalent)
• Linux, Nucleus RTOS (or equivalent)
• Design, development, and optimization of applications and memory resources in an embedded real-time system
• Ability to work well in a multi-processor software development team environment
• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering field with 5+ years experience in software development or Masters Degree in related engineering field with 3 year of experience.
• Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Proven ability to work well in a team environment and make significant individual contributions.
• Effective communications (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
