Job Description:
- Full FPGA/ASIC development/design process product lifecycle support. Including conception, requirements documentation, design, implementation, hardware integration, verification to requirements.
- Requires familiarity with state-of-the-art Multiprocessor System on Chip (MPSoC) technologies and ability to research and establish the best fit and functionality per application.
- Must have experience working electrical and mechanical teams and be capable of working with little technical oversight within a certified quality management environment.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize, design, develop, and verify HDL designs that support system requirements
- Generate designs that meet/exceed strict timing and reliability constraints over temperature
- Use extensive knowledge of VHDL language to maximize efficient use of device resources
- Leverage vendor-supplied soft and hard Intellectual Property (IP) where applicable
DO-254 level of lifecycle documentation/data development including requirements generation and formal validation - Specify, develop and perform verification testing on end-item hardware
- Experience within version control environments
Required Experience:
- BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering required, MS preferred
- HDL design and verification (8-10 years of experience)
- DOORS
- Experience with tools from vendors such as Xilinx, MicroChip (MicroSemi/Actel), Synopsys, and Mentor Graphics
Desired Experience:
- System Verilog for Verification (UVM), scripting
- C-language based software familiarity
