Description:
The selected candidate will work closely with optical and mechanical engineers to determine the methodologies and techniques required to assemble, align and test precision optical systems. The candidate will ultimately be responsible for executing these techniques and procedures.
The candidate will work with team members in developing a variety of optical systems including telescopes, lens assemblies, laser optics, focal plane assemblies and fiber optics for space and airborne applications. This position involves assembling and aligning complex optical systems using a variety of optical instruments, performing optical testing, and specifying and purchasing optical components.
